Chicago (i/ʃɪˈkɑːɡoʊ/ or /ʃɪˈkɔːɡoʊ/) is the largest city in the US state of Illinois and the third most populous city in the United States after New York City and Los Angeles. The city has around 2.7 million residents. Its metropolitan area, sometimes called "Chicagoland", is the third largest in the United States, with an estimated 9.8 million people. Chicago is the county seat of Cook County, though a small portion also extends into DuPage County.
Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837, near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. Today, Chicago is listed as an alpha+ global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network, and ranks seventh in the world on the 2012 Global Cities Index. The city retains its status as an international hub for finance, industry, telecommunications and infrastructure, with O'Hare International Airport being the second busiest airport in the world in terms of traffic movements. In 2008[update], the city hosted 45.6 million domestic and overseas visitors. Among metropolitan areas, Chicago has the 4th largest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the world, ranking just behind Tokyo, New York City, and Los Angeles. Chicago is one of the most important Worldwide Centers of Commerce and trade.
Kelly Nichols (born June 8, 1956 in Covina, California) is a former pornographic actress.
She starred in over 50 adult features, and has been awarded the Best Actress Award by the Adult Film Association of America for her work in the 1983 film In Love. In 1993, she was presented with a Life Time Achievement Award by the Free Speech Coalition, and in 1996 she was inducted into the Erotic Legends Hall of Fame. Kevin John Sheldon (born 14 June 1956) is an English former footballer. He had the nickname Bomber. A winger, he made sporadic appearances for Stoke City between 1975 and 1981, before helping Wigan Athletic and Port Vale to win promotion out of the Fourth Division. He featured twice for Crewe Alexandra, before entering the non-league scene in 1984 with Trowbridge Town, Burton Albion, Leek Town and Telford United. In the 2000s he managed Meir KA, Stone Dominoes, and Leek CSOB.
Sheldon played for Stoke City, making his First Division debut in the 1975–76 season under the stewardship of Tony Waddington. He made nine appearances in the 1976–77 relegation campaign, but made just one substitute appearances in the Second Division in 1978–79, as the "Potters" won promotion back to the top-flight under Alan Durban. Sheldon played once in 1979–80 and 1980–81, before leaving the Victoria Ground for Fourth Division side Wigan Athletic.
He helped Larry Lloyd's "Latics" to win promotion out of the Fourth Division in 1981–82. At Wigan he had a loan spell with Port Vale beginning in August 1982. He made his debut in a 1–0 defeat at Swindon Town on 28 August 1982 and played the next four games before returning to Springfield Park in late September.John McGrath led the "Valiants" to promotion out of the Fourth Division in 1982–83. Eric Roth (born 22 March 1945) is an American screenwriter. He won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Forrest Gump (1994). He also co-wrote the screenplay for Michael Mann's The Insider (1999), the Steven Spielberg film Munich (2005), and David Fincher's film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), all of which were nominated for Oscars.
Roth was born in New York City, New York, the son of Miriam "Mimi", a teacher, studio executive, and radio writer, and Leon Roth, a university teacher and film producer. He has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from UCLA Film School as well as a degree from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Roth is one of the investors defrauded by Bernard Madoff in a "Ponzi Scheme" via Stanley Chais. He stated that his losses were heavy and he has lost his retirement money, although the full extent is unknown. As a result of the fraud and the associated losses, Roth is suing the estate of Chais, who died on September 26, 2010. Roth is rumored to be writing a screenplay dealing with the Madoff-Chais scandal.
